Buying a Ticket

All stations around the Glasgow Subway have both ticket machines and in person kiosks staffed by real people. You can use these to buy single, return and all day tickets, for both adults and children.

If you plan on visiting more than two of the stops along the crawl, we would strongly recommend you purchase and All Day ticket type. As this has unlimited travel and will save you the most money possible.

And if you're planning to travel around Glasgow for more than one day using the underground, you can also purchase a Smartcard. This is a contactless card that you can top up with credit and use to travel around the city. You can find out more about the Smartcard on the SPT website

TypeAdultChild
Single£1.80£0.85
Return£3.40£1.60
All Day (unlimited travel)£4.30£2.15

Before your tavel it is advisable to check the SPT website for the most up to date pricing.
